My recommendations for supplements are:

I couldn’t believe myself how strongly my general wellbeing improved after I started taking these supplements – especially after my Omega-3 levels were back in the optimum range.

Disclaimer: The legal restrictions for advertising supplements (=food) are very strict. I have included affiliate and partner links on this website which means that I get a commission if you order something. In doing so, this page is a commercial page and I am not allowed to refer to disease or health facts, quote scientific studies or speak about my personal experiences or experiences from clients. The idea behind these laws is to protect the consumer from walking through the supermarket and reading health claims on every product like “Drink this Whiskey against heart attack!”. Referring to the effects of nutrients, I am only allowed to name the so called “health claims” which were confirmed by EFSA (European Food Safety Authority). The claims sound a little odd sometimes and even they are not allowed to refer to disease or health. I advice you to further inform yourself about all the products and their nutrients mentioned on this page! It is not important which product you choose to have the effect of the nutrient. If you find other products with similar compositions, I am happy to hear about your experiences!

Zinzino Balance Oil (Omega-3-Oil)

Omega 3 is a group of essential fatty acids. The most important of them are called EPA and DHA. EFSA confirms that they contribute to a normal function of the heart, normal blood pressure and triglyceride levels*. DHA also contributes to a normal function of the brain and eyes.* (Please note the health-related information at the bottom of this page!)

Ideally 8% of the fatty acids in the blood are Omega-3. Another way how to measure the amount of Omega-3 in the blood is the ratio of Omega-6 to Omega-3 fatty acids. This ratio should be maximum 5:1 (according to German Society of Nutrition). Other sources recommend a ratio of 3:1 or less. However, as our nutrition contains mainly Omega-6 fatty acids, most of the population is far away from these levels and has a significant Omega-3 deficiency without being aware of it. An average European has a ratio of 15:1. My Omega6:3-ratio was 36:1 (instead of 3:1!). Accordingly, it had a tremendous effect on me to balance my Omega-3 levels out.

After I have tested several Omega-3 products, I can fully recommend the Balance Oil of the company Zinzino. It consists of fish oils (there is a vegan option as well) and also contains polyphenols (=antioxidants) from olive oil, which ensure that the Omega-3 doesn’t get oxidized on its path to the cells. I don’t recommend capsules as they often made of concentrated fish oils, have no polyphenols and thus a lower bioavailability. I have seen cases of people who didn’t manage to get their Omega-3 levels up to the preferred range in spite of long year intake of capsules.

If you want to know your Omega-3 level, you can take a test at your doctor. The cost there will be between 60-100 €. An easier option is to by a dried blood spot self-test from Zinzino which you can do yourself from home. If you order this test as part of a Premier Kit, its price is only 41 €.

The dosage is 0,15ml per kg bodyweight. (roughly 1-2 table spoons per day, I advice to take the double dosage in the first month)
I recommend the lemon flavor. There is absolutely no fish taste! The oil can be consumed in juice, mixed in cold food or pure.

When you are on the Zinzino webstore, select your country and language by clicking on the flag on the top left corner:

Order Balance Oil

I recommend to order a Premier kit as the price goes down to 1,25€ per day (you need approx. one bottle per month):

Balance Oil Premier Kit (subscription or prepaid)

Balance Oil Premier Kit + 2 Omega-3-bloodtests (subscription or prepaid)

Balance Oil vegan (there is also a Premier Kit with or without blood test available)

Why a Premier Kit?

You find two prices on the Zinzino website: The regular “retail price” and the “Premier price” which is 30-40% cheaper. As soon as you ordered a Premier kit you can order all products of Zinzino for the cheaper Premier price for lifetime. A Premier kit is a package which contains a stock of a product for 6-9 months (subscription or prepaid). This is also possible in the first order: As soon as you have a Premier Kit in your shopping cart, you will see the Premier price for all other products. A Premier Kit makes sense because a lot of people feel the benefits of Omega-3 only after taking it for a couple of weeks.

If you order the Premier Kit as a subscription and the first test shows that your omega-3 levels are already better than 3:1, you will get a full refund (even for the test). This is a great offer for people who already take Omega-3 products and want to test their efficiency.

Zinobiotic

Zinobiotic is a blend of 8 natural plant-based fibers. These fibers are metabolized in the colon (the large intestine) where they support the growth of healthy bacteria. Oat grain fibres contribute to a normal digestion.* Whenever I took products for my digestion I had quite uncomfortable experiences (And I have tried a lot – including so called “probiotics”), that’s why I could hardly believe what is possible with this product. Our colon and digestion are so important for our wellbeing and the quality of life we experience. After I made overwhelmingly positive experiences with Zinobiotic, I am happy to recommend it to you. (Please note the health-related information at the bottom of this page!)

Zeolite + Bentonite = “ZeoBent Med”

ZeoBent Med is a detox powder and consists of Zeolite and Bentonite. They are medicinal clays made of vulcanic rocks and tuff. The powder can absorb heavy metals and other toxins from the digestive system and transport them outside. The recommendation is to complete a 4-12 week detox program; 2-3 times annually. I personally take it on the morning and evening. Be careful to take it at least 30 minutes before or 2 hours after a meal or taking medication! Otherwise the powder can absorb the nutrients from your food.

Vitamin D

Many people have a vitamin D deficiency without knowing it. I recommend to you to take a test at your doctor’s office. This is an uncomplicated procedure and costs between 20-30 €. If your vitamin D level is low, I believe it is secondary which vitamin D product you will take. Usually the levels can be balanced out quickly for most people. Vitamin D contributes to a normal function of muscles, bones and teeth.* The vitamin D product by Zinzino called “ZinoShine” contains also magnesium which contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue.* (Please note the health-related information at the end of this page!) If your vitamin D blood levels are normal, the Vitamin D contained in the Balance oil is usually sufficient. In case that your vitamin D levels are low and don’t increase with a regular vitamin D product, ZinoShine might be worth a try as often a lack of magnesium is inhibiting the vitamin D intake of the body.

Cheaper Options

There are of course also cheaper options in case you cannot afford at all the above mentioned recommendations. In search for cheaper alternatives I came across the company Vitals.eu. I have also tested their products and came to the personal and highly subjective opinion that the effect they had on me was good but definitely not on the level of the Zinzino products. Nevertheless I want to give this options for people with less financial resources.
